Clover Pepper Painting for Toddlers with Tasty Edible Paint

We had such fun painting with edible paint and heart-shaped carrots for Valentine’s Day. Why not continue the fun for St. Patrick’s Day?

It’s always fun to cut open fruits and veggies to see what’s inside. I remember being amazed to find a star inside an apple when I was a little girl.

For Saint Patrick’s Day, clovers are the perfect painting project. Lucky enough, if you slice open a pepper you’ll find yourself a clover. You can obviously use any color of sweet pepper, but I thought green peppers were appropriate.

Once again, W had a blast not only painting with his vegetable stamps, but also eating it too. I love that this art project turns into a nutritious snack. I decided to kick it up a notch and whip up a tasty vegetable dip to use as paint.

It took me only two minutes to whip up the paint, while W spent this rainy morning painting away.
